yep, i finally got it.
and yeah, its good.
all the classic platforming that you'll ever need.
the good:
excellent graphics (10/10)
very good sound (9/10)
easy enough for the young-uns
good replay value (7.5/10)
cool powerups
luigi! yeah, just press l and r and then (a) while picking your file
the bad:
very easy to get through (that giant mushroom gets rid of a lot of the challenge)
the "ground pound" move is hard for me to do while moving, even if ever so slightly. (if you accidently hold r/l while holding down, it doesnt work.) this may not seem much of a problem, but it is in tight situations
why did they include the same (well, pretty much) minigames? any ds owner should have sm64 ds by now, so they're just a waste
ok, its on the ds, but why did they have to have the touch control?? its very annoying to have to fumble for the stylus to get to the next world.
what really bugs me is the powerups. theres a whole button, for petes sake, thats not being used (select), and they make you have to grab the stick again. (or, of course, you could just use your finger, but that would ruin the screen)
and i've died many-a-times underground (where you cant even use the powerups [your on the touch screen] )
*ends rant*
some ?'s:
why does the koopa suit look so much like the bowser suit? it was ugly enough in mario party
why dont the koopas *pop* out of their shells. (they just disappear). where do they go?? _________________ type this in word and hit enter: =rand(100,100)

| If you want to tap the power-up and not grub up the screen with your finger, you could attach the finger-stylus that comes with the DS. (A strap-thing) |

koopas hide in their shell, in old games, depending on which way you hit them... in Smash, they hide in their shell regardless.. maybee, they just hide in their shell, and if you let them alone they'll come out?
anyway, a very very cool game but sadly no DS for KS... _________________ "All matter is attracted to all other matter. Therefore, it is in the basic nature of my mass to tackle your mass." |

yeah, if you hold onto the shell long enough they'll come back out, but i liked racking up combos by jumping on shell-less koopas.
and k0zz: cant believe i didnt think of it!
thanks. _________________ type this in word and hit enter: =rand(100,100)

The old Marios PWN the DS.
I remember HOURS spent playing those. _________________ "Hello, Dr. Gordon. I want to play a game..."

undoubtably, and i love especially Mario World. it's awesome!
but yeah, for a new game, it's good. remember, ingenuity is too expensive to practice regularly nowadays... _________________ "All matter is attracted to all other matter. Therefore, it is in the basic nature of my mass to tackle your mass." |

yeah, my favorite of the series is definitely super mario world (sm adv 2)
my all-time favorite level was vanilla secret 1.
i remember maxing out my lives and score by racking up tons of 1ups on all those koopas! _________________ type this in word and hit enter: =rand(100,100)

I remember the first time I got into one of the castles, and then Toad told me:
"Sorry, the Princess is not in this castle!"
I went ballistic because I thought I was too late to save the princess (I was about 3). I threw my controller on the ground and ran away.
Then my cousin told me that there were more castles and he beat it.
I got so mad that I went back and beat it.
Toad still angers me. _________________ "Hello, Dr. Gordon. I want to play a game..."

yeah, he does that to everybody. in webcomics across the net you can see people in the "thank you, but our princess is in another castle" situation just blasting him with a plasma cannon or some such. i really like just taking the secret pipes and avoiding him...
