The first rule of Sylph's Forums is do not talk about Sylph's Forums.
I'm only kidding of course. In all honesty the rules for this forum are pretty standard. If you've been to other forums and read their rules, then generally the same rules that applied there apply here. Hopefully I wont have to make a long laundry list of rules as I am not really asking for behavior beyond which any place would expect of you in public.

1) Be respectful of other members of the forum. Do not insult them and try not to talk down to them. Do not use inflamitory, vulgar or foul language. Do not argue with the moderators or admins.

2) The language of this board is English, use it to the best of your ability. It's ok to make typo's and misspell words, however, using 1337 for the majority of your post or only emoticons would be an example failing to do so. 'U' will get 'pwned' for doing that Mad

!

3) No back seat moderating. Helpful suggestions are one thing, but allow actual moderators or admins to enforce the rules of this site and to address when a forum member has failed to do so.

4) Use common sense. If you think something may be against the rules yet is not stated here, then it probably is. Do not do it. If you think it may be allowable but you arent sure, then PM an admin or moderator to ask them if it is ok before you do it.

5) Whenever possible, without resorting to kidnapping, chain letters or spam, bring more people here! More people = more fun!
