The Game
This game is much like Scrabble or a Crossword puzzle.
Each game begins with a Theme and a board 11 squares across by 11 squares down. The player who initiates the board places one word across or down which has a vowel landing at the center of the board (6 squares across and 6 squares down).

The Object of the Game
The object is to score the most points by adding a new word that is at least three letters long and crosses (either up, down or across, but not diagonally) at least one existing word in the puzzle. Where the name of the game comes from is that words can also be played backwards or reversed (from right to left). Words cannot be repeated in the same puzzle.

Scoring
Points are scored 1 point per letter of the word filled in (including existing letters) and 5 points for each word you cross greater than one word.

Turns
Play alternates between any number of players so long as the same player does not place a word twice in a row. Play continues until one player has scored 45 points or no new words have been added for 24 hours or three players with points agree no new words can be added.

Winning the Game
The player with the greatest score at the end of play or the first player to reach 40 points first wins. The new board and theme is generated by the winner of the last board who also places the first word. The first word can only score a maximum of 5 points, regardless of its length.

Escargot is a good word, but escargoth makes it not work.

The words that are added must be done in a way that makes sure all the current words still are words.

Like escargoth didn't work, neither does angler because of what it does to ocra, etc.
