the class of '06, my school's senior year, see this as i sign of senior skip day, because it's 06/06/06, but ther were jokes about it all throughout school... one of the kids has a birthday on this day, so you can immagine therewere lots of jokes.

Actually, they re-translated the very very old bible (y'know, the first one in that ancient language of arabic or greek or something abscure) and they found the number of the beast is really 616, not 666. I heard about it on some radio program a few months back. (Didn't have to do with June 6th of this year, but it was interesting enough to remember.)

I think this is totally cool. Apparently some people think the world's gonna end today, but so far I'm still here.

I played Insaniquarium today. I bought a new fish in VT, and because it's 6/6/06, I named it Satan. (And then next year, on 7/7/07, I'm going to buy a fish and name it God or Angel or something.

(By the way, I'm pretty religious, and I don't find it offensive, so I don't think anyone else will, either.)

Actually one of the best ways to unempower something is to laugh at it.

Personally I believe like most theologians that John was most likely speaking about Nero, and not some child being born either on 6/6/06 or with some bizzaro birthmark. Obsessing about the end of the world is a good way to lose sight of living your life and searching for the anti-christ is just that.

To any fellow Christians I may have offended, send me a PM, let's talk. I betcha my opinion wont seem so offensive when we're done.

yea... you say one thing 'wrong' and they jump down your throat... i know people like that... it's really annoying and sometimes i say offensive stuff just to see what they'll do Laughing Hard

i try not to filter what i'm saying, making them cope with it... if i say it nicely, they can't take full offence, and they will eventually, hopefully, learn to cope with opposing views...
