for me, the music i listen to is pretty much whatever is playing. there are songs/volumes that i consider painfull, but that is just for safety of my hearing. i do not really go out of my way for or against it, not that i do not genuinely enjoy it.

I LOVE music!!!
Some of my favorite artists/bands are Fall-Out Boy, The Black-Eyed Peas, Green Day, Natasha Bedingfield, Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson, Shakira, and Gwen Stefani.
I've played clarinet since the fourth grade, (I'm in eigth now.) I started playing the alto saxophone earlier this year. I love playing jazz, especially at festivals, (because we win most of the time )

eeep... i do not think i could remember that many bands passively... impressive. i do not think i listen to enough music to have that many musics liked... then again, i have known people with more for whom music was their life.

I really enjoy Green Day and Evanescence. Green Day's been great for a long time and i dont mind that they've become a bit more pop than punk. Evanescence we hardly knew thee! Diva-hood strikes again.
Fall-Out Boy and The Black-Eyed Peas are deffinately listenable. I might like them both more if not for the fact that I must weather the girls objections when the Peas are played and that I am oversaturated by their love of FOB.
Kelly's latest, good production values, better than her other stuff which I couldnt stand.
Gwen was better with No Doubt, but hey at her age I can understand selling out to make a few bucks before she's trapped on VH1. I still hope that she can find it in her heart to produce some actual emotionally charged songs that aren't schmaltzy.

I've got tickets to see the Black Eyed Peas in concert, so I'm pretty happy.

i once got dragged to a Wierd al concert by my family... it was weird. i'm going to assume that rock concerts are deafening, especially from what i hear in GreeenDay's Bullet In A Bible CD which is a recording of one...
so concerts don't quite seem all that fun. oh wait, i voulenteered at a local teen-organized concert and it was truly, fully deafening every single time. so they don't seem like fun.... to me, atleast.and people who wish to make use of their ears in the future, i would immagine.
now i'm liking sugarcult better. they have songs that are all good, i think, while greenday goes from awesome to weird.

Techno and rock all the way. But pretty much anything except country... *shudder*

This is only my second concert.
The first concert I ever went to was when Kelly Clarkson was on her "Hazel Eyes" tour. I had the worst seats, (you couldn't see the stage except for a little, and they were really high up.), and I had to go with my mother. But other than that, it was fun.
I only like one country singer. Gretchen Wilson. Other than that, country makes me want to throw up.

For me, the liking of rap and hip hop depends on whether what they're about is totally retarded or not, since rap and hip hop's style is mainly based on the lyrics. It helps if the beats and melodies aren't bad, too.

i dont like rap and hip hop for it lyrics ethier.
im not a sexist womanizer like most of the reppers.
i just love the beats.
|
KillerSlime
|
that is cool.
i've been in a nice rap community. friendly people, where rap and hip-hop are decent(and very good) poetry put to a beat. that's very cool, and they make it look so easy. the hard part is getting the poem...
but yeah, it's much better without the strange sexist lyrics. or really any of the mainstream lyrics.
