Sylph, you sneaky bugger you."Iyay otgay ayay ewnay orumfay atyay isthay adressyay. Omecay yebay ifyay ouyay ikelay.
http://sylphsforum.myfreeforum.org"
You happened to post that on May 1 in Pig Latin Land of http://pokephoenix.forumsplace.com/
I obviously haven't checked that forum in a while, else I had I would've come here earlier. Take this as my apology. (Oh, and it is aay, and not ayay.)

wow... how odd....
pig latin is easier said/heard then typed, as it is based on a spoken concept. it is fun to learn how to do as well in it as english, though, so you can confuse people; most people know pig latin, but you can still use it for secrecy if you confuse them by talking fast!

XD i know, whenever i want to say something secret in front of my sister i speak ig-pay atin-lay. it annoys the carp out of her

yeah... i've annoyed my sister with it too, but it's more annoying when you get someone who can understand, so they're actually missing out on something. it doesn't have to be anything, so long as it's something, and it's really annoying.

Just wanted to point out something:
Hey = eyhay
Anything starting with a vowel eg: over = overay, not overway.
Just to be clear.
ouYay ustjay ailedfay at-ay eakingspay igpay atinlay! Ellay ohey ellay! ;-)ay

eyhay, "itey"(?) isay(?) aay(?) okenspay ethodmay, oonenay ancay operlypay riteway anscribetay(?) itey(?).
see? that felt silly. alot of those vowel words would be not good; if a word starts with a vowel, you pretend it had a W at the start.
ouyay areway ethay oneway atway aultfay. orrysay... iway owknay utway iway amway ayingsay, ouyay owknay? onceway againway, orrysay...

I understand what you're saying about it being a spokemon method, but while writing it needs to be a simple, never-broken formula.
It -> itay.
Spit -> itspay.
If you say airway for "air", it would seem like you're really saying "Wair," which doesn't make sense. I know you said "if a word starts with a vowel, you pretend it had a W at the start," but it's just not formulaically (sp) pleasing.
Also, the rule is that you take ALL of the consonants from the beginning and put them at the end. Like "Which" for example: It's not "hichway," but rather "Ichwhay."
And if it helps, sometimes (depending one your writing/typing style) you can put a dash between the words and the ay, like "it-ay" or "is-ay" to be both more aesthetically and phonetically pleasing.
I'd actually like to get a bachelor's degree in Pig Latin one day... that'd be the epitomy of awesome.

no, what i said is actually the standard for writing it.
yes, i looked it up, but that's what i thought before. you also move all letters before the first vowel.
it's tru.

And here I had always thought that with words that began in a vowel should be followed not with an 'ay' but a 'yay' to further deliniate words that began in a vowel from those that did not.

it's way, not yay, standardly... but it's best to be kept a spoken language. remember we're not going by letters but by sylables, and other spoken concepts.
