i've actually played several Edjucational games that were very nice, not the least of which playing in foreign languages so as to further your immersion in the speaking of the language and such, but even some that tried to teach things.
the problem is, games that try to focus on things like that, that try to make it all about the learning, don't work properly. it's like how Instant Messaging and Forums are the best ways to learn to touchtype, just using it, or how being in a foreign country is the best way to learn the language there, if you just take a course or use that 'mavis beakon teaches typing' creepy computer thing you get nowhere fast.

And I agree, typing programs are el stupido. I learned to type by myself.

same here.
but i still had to take a keyboarding class freshman year, otherwise i have been able to take some other computing classes..
*sigh*
i was way ahead of that class. i was typing 70 wpm whilst learning asd and f.

yah i had to take those 5-6 grade.
of course the hole time i cheated when he looked away.
i can type around 35-40 wpm.

I haven't ever checked how fast I type, but I imagine it's somewhere in the range of... let's say 1000wpm.
Yeah, that's sounds right. The burn-marks on the keys are a good clue.

hehehe... same as KD with me, exept a more realistic reasonably fast speed and no burning fire or anything like that.
i don't even think it's possible to touchtype that fast without losing efficiency...
