ok, this is an RP idea which also happens to be the idea for my story that i'm co-writing with one of my homeschool buddies. i've tweaked it a bit so it could be an RP. here's the plot:

The Agylinians and Prazelians are on the brink of war. The new Prazelian emperor, Lucas, has sworn to crush the Agylin empire, but no one knows why. King Jeral and Queen Ijemal, the rulers of Agylin, have a theory about it, but if word got out it could mean disgrace on the royall family for generations to come.
Syne, the Master of Mages, and his brother Byne, Master of Spies, tell the monarchs of a growing number of fighters, mages, and ships in Prazel everyday; they urge them to take the same actions. The monarchs disagreed at first, but after a few days they did as they were advised.
Generals are sent out to every town and village, recruting any boy or man able enough to lift a weapon. They set up training camps on middle-ground between villages, and there they train the farmers, blacksmiths, and inn-keepers in the art of killing.
Women too are taken, recruted to make tents, mend clothing, and cook. No one is safe from the war. Everyday the threat looms ever nearer, and everyday the generals move farther into the heart of Agylin. All-out war would be devestating for both sides, costing much in the way of lives, gold, and crops. With tensions growing with each passing week, war is inevitable... or is it?

ok, so this isn't exactly like my story... in fact, it's nothing like my story lol. but it is interesting. ok, so here's how it works. the little red stars mean that it's required. the last three at the bottom are optional, but if you're a warrior or a mage, you need to fill out those things. for the status, you can be anything you want (just make sure it's something sorta medival-ish), you don't have to limit yourself to what i put (it's 10:36 pm where i am) cause i'm a bit tired. anyway, here's my character sheet.

Name: Evengaline
Age: 15
Gender: female
Alliance: Agylin
Status: baker's apprentice
Appearance: Tall and skinny with long black hair, braided when working but usually worn down. Long, muscular legs and long, skinny arms. Small, dainty nose set below very light blue/gray eyes ((not blind)). Full lips, long, slender neck, a bit 'busty' ((wink wink)) pale skin dotted with freckles, has a big scar on her finger from accidentally cutting it when she was little. Wears a faded brown dress, but loves to sneak out in the tunic, britches, and cap she stole from the laundress.
Personality: Loves to make other people laugh, and is always smiling. Secretly hates being the baker's apprentice, and the baker (who she calls 'The Doughnut' behind his back) himself. Loves animals of any kind, but especially dragons and horses. Is sarcastic, funny, and loves finding adventures.
Weapon(s): even though it's illeagal, she knows how to use a dagger, staff, and also knows some hand-to-hand combat technics.
Power(s): none
Other: She learned how to fight by watching the soldiers train. Lives in the village of Willow's Bend, deep in the forests of Agylin and south of the Prazelian border.

oh, and btw, you can't be any of the characters i named in the plot (sorry). you can, however, be a general if you want. i need a few of those, one of which will be near Willow's Bend. i can make up a few town/village names, but if you wanna do that yourself that's fine with me. anyway, if i get 3-4 people, i'll make another thread where you actually do the role-playing.[/i]

*Appearance:younger than looks. appears withdrawn, walks with an (unnececary, but great for hitting things) quarterstaff, and generally wears robes. tries to look fairly simple. often followed by a wolf. looks mostly harmless.
*Personality: withdrawn, but very friendly with animals. tends twoards deception when in a bind, but both wizard and wolf know how to fight, to an extent. does not like people nor hold them in any high regard, until trust is earned. likes studying about animals, and is quick to befriend them. does not like to have powers known; hence the staff, making him look more frail than he is. does not like to show alignment, but preferres Agylin. tends twoard apathy, but may do whatever on a whim, and in general does not like to see an unfair fight, unless he is the one on the good end of it. also has a preference to, whenever actually showing his stronger magic, be a little showboaty about it(well, if he spends so much time downplaying his ability, gotta spend some time looking cool, even if people will not remember the face[gotta love little tricks]). is actually quite prone to running preemptavely from a fight, just on general principle. not because of cowardice as such, but more because of the not wanting powers known and not wanting to exert himself. prefers secluded locations, and prone to staying inside on festivals and times of day with many people. actually fairly bad in hand-to-hand combat. prefers no fight to any fight.
Weapon(s): quarterstaff(used for walking, generally, a good excuse to bring it places where weapons are disalowed.), a wolf, and magic.
Power(s):average magic, and a few more advanced things reluctant to use. a few minor mind-altering spells, with more animal oriented skills.
Other:animal companion, a wolf.
location:outskirts of a town, off the roads a bit(in order to be near enough to buy anything nececary, yet not in the mess of things). near a forest(if possible on the map).
preferred types of magic(in order): illusion, enchantment, divination, abjuration, others.
religion; agnostic: does not really have any deity much at all.
pasttimes; spending time in forests, and among animals; study(field, and a few books).

*tries hard not to laugh* isn't Yuki a girls name? like in Tamora Pierce, there's that chic named Yuki. anyway, we have three people, so i'm going to start the RP thread... if you want to join, you can but read the previous posts so you know what's going on.
