you are asked questions. so long as they are appropriate, you will answer any question. if they are not, we can ask sylph or the poster to remove them. very, very simple.

-sylph: is there anyway that you can enable limited moderating powers to the current hot seater?

how long should one hot-seat session go?
Edit = Sylph I figure we'll pay this part looser and freer here and give it til the questions stop coming often; kinda like popping microwave popcorn in the old days.

usually they go for about a week, but it depends on how long the hot seater is here and how many questions get answered...

wglmb: if you had to be an animal, what animal you be?

Hmm. Something that doesn't get eaten. Something that looks good. I've always liked orca ('killer') whales, but they can't fly (drat...), so I think most of all I'd like to be some sort of eagle. That is, if flying whales aren't real...

if you had to be any mario creature, which one would you be?

Sorry, I don't know any... I haven't played a mario game, except a few online replicas, and then only for a couple of minutes (until I died; I get bored of games when i keep dying...)

what do you believe the 5th+ dimension to be like?

Fuzzy. Definately fuzzy.

ever seen one of these before?

No. That's wierd...I'm sure it's not good for my eyes--they went out of focus when I first looked at it...

have you ever seen digimon? if so, what Digimon would you be?

'fraid not. I used to watch it's nemesis, Poke'mon, though...

they're not nemesises. pokemon and digimon are rather different... for instance, digimon tried new things when pokemon went over and over the same thing.

what's your favorite anime?

I don't think I know any...

Pokemon is one!

Ah. Poke'mon, then...

if you could be anyone or anything, in any situation, who, what, and where would you be?

Gotta go to College now... I'll carry on when I get back Smile
..and I'm back...

This is a really tricky question. I think I'd like to be someone winning something, 'cos that's always amazing. Perhaps music-related, because I love it so much. So I reckon I'd most of all like to be someone who's just won an award for an amazing performance at a concert or something... it'd be great to be so successful in music! Musical Singing

if you were on a desert island, with no chance of rescue, and you could bring one thing, what would you bring?(saying the world or a ship does not count, i think.)

A genie in a bottle. Or out of one if I had to.
If I couldn't find any genies (yeah, right), I'd bring a good book (probably Northern Lights). Nothing electrical, or the batteries'd run down.

if your house was on fire, and you could take one thing out, what would you take?

(Apart from my family?) My case of CDs. I couldn't survive without my music!

not the fire?

ninjas have taken over your computer. what do you use to get rid of them?

After using a ninjameter to find out how seriously infested the computer is, I'd get a load of ladybirds to eat them, like they do greenfly.

what's your favorite website?

For fun: http://www.arcadegamesonline.com
For usefulness: http://www.howstuffworks.com, or possibly http://www.bugmenot.com/.

Why di you join this forum?

Because I enjoy the ISQD community, so wanted to join this spin-off from it. And I missed Sylph...

Where did you hear of this site?

(from Gooba's question's answer: Because I'm sad, I checked up on the old EZBoard ISQD forum, and saw Sylph's topic where she links here.)

what is your least/ favorite smilie (smiley? is that how your 'sposed to spell it?)..?

Go for emoticon Smile

And, incidentally, Smile is my least favourite. I looks a bit daft.
My favourite is Idea because of the expression on the little guy's face when he gets an idea!
its my favorite too
if you could merge together two animals and become that animal, what would you merge/be?

Human + eagle, i.e. flying person!

do you believe in extraterrestrial life?
if no, why not?
if yes, why so?

No, because
--> I don't want to; I don't like the idea
--> The chances of life starting are pretty slim, so the chances of it starting in two places is even slimmer
--> Does it matter? There's no-where near us with life, and so if there is life elsewhere we'd never be able to 'meet' it, or contact it

if you could rename yoursylph to anything, what would you be called?

I like my name as it is. A combination of English (William & Gordon & Brown), Scottish (Murray) and Spanish (Luís), which are the main nationalities I'm made up of.

are you obsessed about anything?

Not really...

are you allergic to anything?

Nope

how bout fuzzy kittens? Laughing

Oh, yeah, I'm allergic to kittens that aren't fuzzy. Fortunately, all kittens are fuzzy

if you could get anybody to come join this forum, who would it be?

Queen Elizabeth II

i know im supposed to ask only questions here, but heres a request: write a poem on the spot. right here, right now.

Running through the hills,
the sun goes down
before me

Streaks of light
in my eyes
fade
and lose
meaning

(random stuff that came to me in about 10 seconds)

do you play any online games? if so, which ones?

Yup, lots from popcap.com and arcadegamesonline.com and elsewhere.
My favourite for looks and atmosphere is The Quest for the Rest
My favourite overall is Hannah and the Pirate Caves from neopets.com (which my sister has sogned up to, not me...)

what is your favorite site?
search engine? (go google!)

Favourite site: popcap.com or arcadegamesonline.com
Search engine: Google. I've tried others, but they're never as good.

whats your favorite number/color? (sorry if this's been asked already..)

Number: either 17 or 29. 17 because it feels pointy in my mind, and 29 because a 2 is curved and slightly squidgey and blurred, which contrasts with the rigid, crisply defined outline of the nine. (Numbers 'feel' different to me!)
Colour: Red-brown, like red clay.

well, that wraps it up for now.
time for lisa to step in and ask some questions *hint hint*

thanks for your time, wglmb

You're welcome!

Ok, lets try this question from a different vantage point. Yes, it's the much dreaded and much feared 'Space colonist' question. Don't cringe yet. I have refined it. And P.S. Aww shucks on the missing me part <kicks dirt>

Oh yeah, the question.

The world is going to end. Somehow you have been placed in charge (dont ask dont tell Wink ) of a portion of the selection process. Only 222 people can be saved. They will be evacutated from the planet and flown to a distant inhabitable planet to respawn civilization.

The Scientists and their computer models have already selected 200 individuals to best represent the biodiversity of the planet and as much of the knowledge base as posible. Fifteen people were elected by the world to represent humankind and 7 slots are left at your discretion. You know none of these 215 people, neither thru the media nor personally.

Who are the seven people you elect to save?

--> Myself
--> My Mum
--> My Dad
--> My sister
--> My other sister
--> My brother
--> Harry Hill (a comedian).

Are you one of them?

I am.

Why did you select the people you did?

Because my family are importent to me, and because the world needs laughter Rolling
