i just saved a bunch of money on my car insurence by switching to Geico.
real point: working on a brand spanking new RP because unless we can make it last, Fire water Wind and Earth: The Undoing isn't going to live much longer. well, as i see it anyway. you might not, but from my POV it's nearing the end. _________________

I personally think (from a non-educated psychological aspect) that you might have some attachment to it since you created it. It's possible that you're just losing interest because you haven't been participating recently.

*huff* it's summer! i can't spend all my time on the computer... and i'm lazy. and i am not losing interest... it's just my proffesional opinion creating something doesn't give you special attatchment to it... it's the opposite with me. well, not the exact opposite... er... it's hard to explain. _________________

Long live the tale with elementals!
The way I see it: The tale has reached the conclusion of chapter one at best; Or, if this were LOTR, the hobbits just left the Shire.
I even see room for more characters to join in.
Also, I'm only good for one story at a time. _________________ ~Sylph~

I agree with Sylph. Well, except for the one story at a time bit. :P
And about the hard to explain bit, (again from a non-educated psychological aspect) maybe if you create something you feel as though it should evolve on its own? Kind of like a proud parent sort of deal, letting the kid flourish...
I need to take a class on this stuff so I don't need to bug people with it, hahaha. _________________ ^^^|_337^^^

sequal! i'll write a sequal! and even if it was a different plot and stuff there'd still be elementals because they're cool. _________________

Hey I think we have good elements in place with this one, without completely abandoning it. We've got some resolution, but plenty of great loose ends. Bigger, I'd say than the ones we've tied up.
1) We've gotten lots of character developement in and we've started to define different roles and strengths. Also, I think finally they are starting to see themselves as a group, but just barely so. Leaving lots of potential for unifying moments, more arguements, etc.
2) Vian and Idaur have been somewhat dealt with, but both still live, no? Leaving the posibility of either's return. The scrolls amount to money and power and I cant see either of them completely abandoning their desire for them.
3) We've got some great plot devices, such as: the scrolls that created the dragons and a vague idea that we have a sorcerer of some kind as a nemisis and a kewl teleportation device that could end up taking us lots of places.
4) We've only explored one of the three already defined cities and that's not to say that there cannot be more. I was thinking working endives and gnomes into the plot would be kewl. Lots of cultural and personality potential there. As well as each elemental race could have their very own home world/city.
5) Plenty of room for more characters, especially NPCs. We're in a forest now and that's always a great place to introduce more NPC's especially the helpful kind. Sorry if I changed your plans for Vian to be one of those. Obviously other cities will have theives guilds and perhaps some honorable ones?
Anyways, Koz, I am not saying there's not room in the forum for umpteen different stories, only that my focus and time is rather limited. Oh yeah, and I am quite hooked on this one. _________________ ~Sylph~
