simpsons isnt tv 14.

some of the newer ones are. and the hallowween eps.

ok.

as for family guy- not sure why its rated tv 14. its content definitely makes it higher than that.
are there any ratings between 14 and MA?
16?
if there is, thats what it should be

...and yeah, i thought that alphabit/cheerio thing is pretty clever.

now i must ask: why did they create that other show (american dad)
its basically the same thing

i got this off wikipedia:
Code:
Family Guy vs. American Dad!
Peter - Head of the house, physically largest, rude, sexist, stupid, entirely unaware of his own stupidity.
Stan - Head of the house, physically largest, rude, sexist, stupid, entirely unaware of his own stupidity.
Lois - mother - voice of reason - opposite background from husband
Francine - mother - voice of reason - opposite background from husband
Chris - son - tries to follow in father's footsteps
Steve - son - tries to follow in father's footsteps
Meg - daughter - social outcast
Hayley - daughter - political outcast
Stewie - smaller than the rest with witty wisecracks. Has an accent, loathes mother character.
Klaus - smaller than the rest with witty wisecracks. Also has accent, and lusts after mother character.
Brian - Spends time eating, smoking and drinking alcohol, lusts after mother character. Pet/ family member.
Roger - Spends time eating, smoking and drinking alcohol. Pet/ family member.

yeah, i agree with goombapatrool. they probably made the American Dad one to do more political wizecracks now that people actually pay a little attention to the politics.

actully i disagree.
american dad i funny to me.
and it and family guy are diffrent (imo)
also family guy dosnt deserve tv-ma.
tv-ma needs
extreme violance (hence sopranoes, rome)
extreme languge (sopranoes untrague south park)
extrme politacal views (wonder showzen!)
nudity (rome big love sopranoes.)
(imho of course)

i'm pretty sure family guy has most, if not all, of those. not that it matters. i find their humor rather crude... stupidity is not my favorite kind of humour. but some people like it; my younger siblings love the show, and if it were not for that "desperate housewives" show they would watch it religiously.

the only episodes i have seen have had alot of nudity. pointless nudity and not even using metaphors and obscurities in the speech... i do not watch the show at all really, though. i watched it twice, seeing as it is popular at my school, but never enjoyed it.
